About Us

Woorayl Lodge Inc. is a not-for-profit aged care provider proudly serving the Leongatha community in the beautiful hills of South Gippsland. We provide high-quality care to 41 residents in our aged care home and support 29 independent living units.

Founded in 1956, we remain proudly community-owned and governed, with a strong commitment to our values of Inclusiveness, Community, Understanding, Individuality, and Wellbeing.

About the Role

We are excited to offer a newly created position for a Catering Services Coordinator. This role has been established to strengthen our catering service and enhance the experience of residents through high-quality, nutritious, and person-centred meals.

Working closely with the Chef Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our catering services. This includes overseeing compliance with food safety standards, assisting with rostering and supplier management, supporting staff training, and maintaining efficient systems. In the absence of the Chef Manager, you may also provide supervisory support to ensure service continuity.

This position is full-time (Monday–Friday), however, we are open to negotiating hours for the right candidate, including school-friendly hours.

About You

You are an experienced professional with a strong background in catering, hospitality, or food service, ideally within an aged care or health environment. You will bring:

  • Experience in catering, food service or hospitality administration

  • Completion of (or currently working towards) a Food Safety Supervisor course

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

  • Ability to train and mentor staff

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Applications will remain open until a suitable candidate is appointed, so early applications are encouraged.
