The Board

The Woorayl Lodge Inc Board are volunteers dedicated to shaping the future of aged care in South Gippsland and include passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience. Board members play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction of our operations, ensuring that we remain innovative and deliver excellence in aged care whilst providing governance and stewardship.  They are committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.

 

Board meetings are held in person, after hours once a month.  See below for current vacancies.

About Woorayl Lodge Inc

Woorayl Lodge Inc is a not-for-profit, community-owned aged care organisation located in Leongatha, serving South Gippsland. We provide residential aged care in 41 private rooms (each with ensuite) and support 29 independent living units.  We are governed by volunteer Board Members whose oversight and strategic guidance help ensure we deliver compassionate, high-quality, and sustainable care to our residents and community.

 

Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from committed and experienced community leaders to join our Board. This is a voluntary governance role (unpaid), but one with meaningful influence and impact.

 

Who we are looking for

We welcome applicants with professional or lived experience in fields such as accounting, finance, business strategy, corporate governance, banking, risk management, health and aged care, law, or community engagement. You should bring a genuine commitment to the mission of Woorayl Lodge, the ability to think strategically and ask constructive questions, and the time to contribute to monthly evening Board meetings in Leongatha, plus occasional committee work.

 

What you will contribute & gain

As a Board Member, you will help set organisational strategy, provide oversight of finance and risk, and champion Woorayl Lodge within the community. In return, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aged care in South Gippsland, broaden your networks, and develop further governance and leadership skills.
