Woorayl Lodge is a not-for-profit aged care facility nestled in the lush, rolling hills of South Gippsland in the township of Leongatha.  The Lodge has 41 private rooms in the residential aged care section and 29 independent living units and is proudly community owned and run. 

About the Role

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and experienced cook to assist our Chef Manager in supporting the catering team to delivering outstanding meal services to our residents. You will bring your passion for food and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. The successful applicant will:

• Support the Chef Manager in leading the team to ensure food safety practices are maintained whilst delivering high quality, nutritious meals that meet the needs of various dietary requirements of our residents.

• Possess experience with commercial cookery (previous experience in health or aged care will be advantageous).

• Have sound communication skills and be available to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends and public holidays. 

• Be capable of following safe work procedures and contributing to a safe environment for all.

• Possess Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards) or have relevant previous experience.

• Be reliable and punctual and demonstrate initiative.

We will support you with training and leadership so that we deliver the best levels of service to residents, visitors and staff.
