Woorayl Lodge is a community-owned, not-for-profit aged care home located in the heart of Leongatha, South Gippsland. We offer 41 private rooms and 29 independent living units in a welcoming environment focused on care, dignity and community.
About the Role
We are currently seeking friendly and reliable casual Catering Assistants to join our catering team. You’ll support the preparation and service of meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, while working alongside our Chef Manager and Cooks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with basic food preparation and plating
Ensure kitchen and service areas are clean and safe
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
Communicate effectively with team members and residents
About You
You’ll bring a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a caring and supportive team. Ideally, you:
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Are kind, respectful, and enjoy helping others
Have good communication skills and a friendly manner
Are available to work weekends and evenings
Understand the importance of hygiene and safety in a kitchen setting
Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Food Safety Handling Certificate
Are reliable, punctual, and take pride in your work
