Woorayl Lodge Inc. is a not-for-profit aged care provider proudly serving the Leongatha community in the beautiful hills of South Gippsland. We proudly support 41 residents in our aged care home and 29 independent living units, guided by our values of Inclusiveness, Community, Understanding, Individuality and Wellbeing.
About the Role
We are seeking a Casual Catering Assistant to support meal service, dining experience and kitchen cleanliness in our aged care home. Working as part of the Catering Services Team, you will:
Assist with meal preparation, plating and delivery
Support residents during mealtimes in a respectful and person-centred way
Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleaning schedules
Follow safe food handling, infection control and documentation requirements
Support a positive dining experience and contribute to resident wellbeing
Casual shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, weekends and relief coverage. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a caring environment, has good attention to detail and values teamwork.
About You
You will be someone who:
Has experience in food service, hospitality or aged care (preferred but not essential)
Demonstrates empathy, respect and excellent communication skills
Follows directions, routines and kitchen procedures
Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to culture
Understands or is willing to learn safe food handling and hygiene practices
