About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to support the day-to-day upkeep, safety and functionality of our buildings, grounds and equipment.
Reporting to the Administration Manager, this is a hands-on role involving general maintenance and repairs, preventative maintenance activities and coordination of external contractors where required.
This role would suit someone practical and solution-focused who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working in a busy operational environment where no two days are the same.
The position is ideally Monday to Friday, with flexibility around hours, including school hours by agreement.
About You
You will be someone who:
Has experience in general maintenance, repairs or facilities upkeep
Is practical, adaptable and comfortable working in an ageing, complex environment
Works safely and understands risk management
Can prioritise tasks and respond calmly to competing demands
Is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Communicates respectfully with residents, staff and contractors
Is willing to obtain electrical testing and tagging certification (if not already held)
Trade qualifications and experience in regulated environments are highly regarded, but not essential.
